The service life of vacuum welded corrugated pipes

The service life of welded corrugated pipes has different requirements for different objects of use. Generally, welded corrugated pipes used as pressure detection components have a service life of about one million times. In harsh working conditions, such as the presence of corrosive media, or in high-pressure and high-temperature situations, the lifespan is about 100000 times. In some special occasions, such as the welded bellows used on the sealing of the rotor shaft of a rocket engine, the lifespan is calculated based on time at a speed of 3000r/min.

Ordinary welded corrugated pipes are not resistant to high pressure. In order to improve its pressure resistance, double-layer welded corrugated pipes with a pressure resistance of 14-70MPa have recently emerged. This form of welded corrugated pipe has a strong ability to withstand both internal and external pressure. For internal pressure operation, it is necessary to drill 2-4 exhaust holes evenly on the outer membrane of the double-layer membrane, with a diameter generally below 5mm. In this way, the double-layer membrane can tightly fit under pressure, thereby improving the pressure resistance.
